はらいそ (Haraiso) comes from “paraiso”—paradise. Carried into Japan, reshaped over time. The meaning stayed, but the image changed. Less about perfection, more about distance. Something you think about more than you reach.
This zine follows a small group of young skaters in the outskirts of Sendai. Far from the compressed rhythm of the city, they move through open spaces,friends cars, quiet streets, and improvised hanging spots that don’t belong to anyone.
Nothing is staged. Nothing is explained.
It reads like fragments of a place where time slows down just enough to notice things.
Printed in an 8-page format, stapled and assembled by hand.
